Privacy Policy

Effective: July 2026 · Applies to the LedgerMint Android app and ledgermint.app web app

The short version

Your books are yours. LedgerMint stores your data on your device and, if you create an account, in a private cloud space only your login can access. We do not sell data, show ads, or share your information with anyone.

What LedgerMint collects

• Account data: your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash), used only for login and syncing your data across your devices.
• Financial entries you create or capture: transaction amounts, dates, payment mode, notes, party names, project names, and bank account labels you define. These exist so the app can do its job — they are your business records, visible only to your account.
• Notification/SMS content (Android, on-device): with your explicit permission, the app reads incoming payment notifications and bank messages on your phone to create entries automatically. This processing happens on your device. Promotional and OTP messages are ignored and not stored.
• Imported statements: files you choose to import are processed on your device or in your browser. Password-protected files are decrypted locally; passwords are never transmitted or stored.

What LedgerMint does NOT do

• No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties
• No advertising or tracking SDKs
• No reading of personal conversations — only payment-related messages are parsed
• No access to your data by other users: database-level row security restricts every record to the account that created it

Where data lives

Locally in the app's private database on your device, and — if you enable sync — in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) cloud project, transmitted over HTTPS encryption. Backups you export are files you control.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual entries anytime in the app. To delete your entire account and all cloud data, email hello@ledgermint.app from your registered email with the subject "Delete my account" — deletion is completed within 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device.

Children

LedgerMint is a financial tool intended for users 18 and older.
